The Team

We aim to help progress the freeride movement and inspire the next generation by sharing the riding experiences we were fortunate to have and learn from. At its core, it’s simple: push yourself, try new things, build trails that excite you, and have as much fun as possible.

Torsenn Brown

Founder & Coach

Growing up in Hood River, Oregon, I started out racing enduro and soon discovered downhill. I was drawn to the feel of a DH bike, and not long after, I transitioned into freeride, where I found a more unrestricted and creative approach to riding. That ultimately allowed me to become a professional rider. Outside of my own riding journey, I have helped with group rides, the youth camp "Full Send" in HR, and with the YTC youth camp in Bellingham. My goal, through the efforts of our team "HESH", is to blend those two disciplines of riding by building trails that reflect both styles, while also teaching the youth the fundamentals needed to become well-rounded riders capable of excelling across all types of terrain and riding styles. And most importantly just to go out have fun riding your bike.

Talus Turk

Founder & Coach

Born and raised in Bellingham, WA this town and the people in it have played a huge role in shaping my career. I started out as the kid showing up to WMBC dig days and taking lessons through local camps. Today, I’m a professional mountain biker and have had the opportunity to coach and support the next generation through programs like Milepost 35, YTC, and various group rides. Through HESH MTB, our goal is to create the best possible experience for young riders and give back to the community that helped build us. We believe in investing in the future of the sport, and this camp is a step toward supporting the next generation.

Cole Goodnight

Founder & Coach

Growing up riding Duthie, Whistler, and everything in between, I came up doing it all — DH racing, big shuttle days, loamers, dirt jumps, slopestyle, and big mountain descents. That breadth of experience eventually led me to host Woolley Fest, where I get to bring the community together around the sport I love. Now my focus is expanding mountain biking to the next generation—showing kids what's possible and where this sport can take them. The Pacific Northwest is one of the best places in the world to get seriously good on a bike, and sometimes all it takes is the right stepping stone.

Ryan McNulty

Founder & Coach

Growing up in Bend, Oregon, I spent most of my time at the dirt jumps learning all the basic necessities of riding such as how to pump, pop, jump, corner and learn the basics of trail maintenance. Fast forward, I found myself heavily attracted to getting on a freeride downhill bike and that’s when my career in biking really started to take off. Quickly after, I traveled to locations such as Woodward, and Windells (Milepost 35) to coach kids who were beginning to pursue the idea of making mountain biking a career for themselves. The excitement of the kids has always put a smile on my face as I remembered being that kid full of energy craving to get better on my bike. Our team at HESH is so beyond excited to give back to the local Washington community with these progressive and engaging camps with our unique groups of coaches.

We cant wait to meet and ride with you!
